Cleveland Wok Review

yes, the sisters are lazy bloggers on this site! In an effort to post something new, I'll do a quick review on Cleveland Wok - a new place we've found over on Cleveland and Grand (near our house)...

I was hesitant to eat at a Chinese buffet since its usually the exact same food from one place to another and I wasn't really in the mood. Now, I do love a little Atlantic Buffet from time to time since you can make your own mongolian bbq (my fav creation is noodles, onions, maybe a little chicken and a good concoction I've made of lots of ginger, garlic sauce, a little soy and a little terryaki). But since getting to AB requires getting travelling the same path Josh always takes to work - we were looking for a closer Chinese place. I've blogged about Bill's Chinese Garden before - but I think I like Cleveland Wok better.

We stopped by there on a Friday night - around 7pm and the place was super packed and people were lurking inside the front door waiting for a table. Granted the place only holds about 20 tables and for this claustrophic girl, I was a little tense the whole meal. They do have take out - both directly from the buffet or you can order as seperate to go entrees. They had a lot of fun items on the buffet - Josh liked the honey shrimp and I loved the wontons. They also had some tasty green beans and prok dumplings. They had the requisite good sweet and sour sauce - it didn't taste just like all the other places we've eaten at - which makes me happy (usually I figure these restaurants just get a huge vat of the same stuff - at least Cleveland Wok's tasted good/different.

We're looking forward to trying some take out from there soon - I know Josh wants to try the General Tso's and I want the mongolian beef and the kung pao chicken. Any friends in the neighborhood looking for dinner soon, let's connect and order from CW...
